Dead eels and fish found in Tabac River

Residents of the south have reported to the authorities the presence of a high number of dead eels and fish in the Tabac River at La Baraque, L’Escalier. Environmental police officials took water samples from the river on Wednesday for analysis. Residents attributed the disaster to a current pollution. The death of the fish dates back to several days given the foul smell emerging from the place.
