The lawyer Raouf Gulbul swore an affidavit in the Supreme Court on Monday 17th September in which he applied for a judicial review to challenge the findings of the Commission of Inquiry on Drugs report. Raouf Gulbul was severely criticized by ex-Judge Paul Lam Shang Leen, who had chaired the works of this Commission of Inquiry, and his two assessors.
In his application for judicial review, the lawyer complains, among other things, that the Commission did not give him the opportunity to rebut the allegations made against him by the persons who testified before the Commission. He claims that paragraphs 36 and 183 of the report violate the principle of “natural justice.” The case will be called in the Supreme Court on Monday 24th September.
